This ambigram was commissioned by Donna for her sons - Gage and Seth.

While Donna wanted a feminine ambigram, i have been unable to create the design in calligraphic/styled font - the inversion just doesn't help.

So i reverted back to simple designs. 8 bit helped me - the clear lines makes the ambigram very readable and very simple. If Seth and Gage like Mario, they'll surely love this graphic design.

I'm currently trying to make a design with modern font for this ambigram.

This is the first time i'm using this font. I don't know what to name it, but it looks terrific!!! Readability is also pretty good (except for 'i' in Jakeil) Both Danielle and Jakeil plan to get this tattooed. This ambigram had some 10 hours invested in it.

They have used it on the 'Save the Date' Wedding Invitation - looks wonderful isn't it? :)

As mentioned earlier, i'd submitted my entry for NAC (Nagfa's Ambigram Challenge). Top 10 entries in this challenge were reviewed by John Langdon. And my entry was one of them.

Here's a very comprehensive review of my ambigram 'Singularity' by John Langdon -

"This version of SINGULARITY is probably the most successful in terms of developing a successful, very appealing, and credible style — it could easily be the basis for a new font design. But the letters that make up ambigrams don’t need that kind of consistency, as they will only appear in one given relationship with other letters. The consistency of this style is, ironically, the weakness of this ambigram. The consistently flat-sided letter style, eliminates some of the differences among letters that help them be read. The consistent weight of the bold vertical strokes adds to that effect, and the very consistent letter-spacing (normally an important benefit) creates too regular a pattern. One significant decision that also helps diminish readability is the burying of the dot of the I within the x-height of the letters. The comparatively wide proportion and the italic angle create a highly streamlined experience, causing the eye to shoot through the word without enough letter recognition. The dot on the i would be a worthwhile speed bump to aid readability. Again, the letter-to-letter translation is quite good here. The RI connection works surprisingly well, as the heavy weight minimizes the noticeability of that unnecessary and potentially disruptive stroke. The structures of the S/Y and G/A are particularly appealing."

Today marks my one year of ambigramming. Its been one wild ride since i started doodling on ambigrams, after having read 'Angels and Demons' and been bewildered by 'earth', 'air', 'fire' and 'water' ambigrams by Sir John Langdon.

Now when i look back i see how much i've evolved as an artist in this one year. You can see the gradual increment in the quality of the designs in the past year. I look forward to more years of this challenging hobby. Thanks to everyone who commissioned their artworks from me, those who commented on my site and not the least my close friend Vinay who gave his feedback on almost all of my designs...

This ambigram was commissioned by Mark Richardson who wanted to get a blackletter ambigram tattoo on his childrens' names - Bethany and Finn. He also wanted to incorporate the '13' in the same ambigram, since it was important to him.

I've used the Wilhelm Klingspor Gotisch font for this (another eg. of this font is Aristottle). The 'A'/'&' inversion also incorporates '13' in it. The design looks very stylish, contemporary and very suitable for a tattoo.

The design took days of thought and 4 hours of implementation. This is typical of each customized artwork which requires a lot of time and effort to bring out the beauty in it.

This ambigram was commissioned by Tony Chavez whose nickname is Stoney. He wanted to get an ambigram tattoo. I have made following two designs for him. The first one incorporates the hindlewood blackletter font and looks very stylish though quite unreadable at first sight.
The second one uses a more calligraphic with flowing lines. highly readable font. He's very happy with the second design and will be using it for his purpose.

The main effort in this ambigram was taken by S/Y inversion. While it decreases the readability in the first design, i've made it more visually appealing in the second design.

When i started making ambigrams as a hobby six months ago, never did i realise, how far will i be able to go. Its only now i see that its been a wonderful journey. But its only the beginning...miles to go before i sleep..hundreds of ambigrams to be made...lots of names be converted into a beautiful piece of symmetry and illusion...and next year i plan on writing a book on ambigrams including around 150-200 ambigram creations of mine with special emphasis on use of fonts, styles and serifs.

And this sunday, i appeared in a newspaper article on ambigrams in Hindustan Times (Mumbai Edition) on page 11. The article spans top half page and includes some of my ambigrams, my quotes and my pic. You can have a look at the article here and here.

This is my first attempt at an oscillation ambigram. It reads Angel and Devil at the same time. (No inversion or reflection here). The inspirations for the word combination come from John Langdon's "Angels and Demons" and "Angels and Devils" by M.C. Escher. Everything in our life is relative..what may be good for one may turn out to be bad for someone else...it all depends upon your persepective (glass can be half full or half empty!). This design tries to bring out such irony.

World Of Ambigram - NAC entry

Here's my design entry for the Nagfa's Ambigram Challenge (NAC) series for this month. The phrase ambigrammed is "World of Ambigram".

This project is based on the lines of Langdon's Grid Project wherein notable ambigrammers would submit their own ambigram designs for a single word/phrase. As a result of that project, many stunning works (like Langdon's entry for "me/you") were created.

I'm really happy to be a part of this exercise which calls for uniting ambigram enthusiasts and provides an opportunity for all of us to learn from each other's styles so that we can unleash more creativity in our future designs.

New Look

I have refreshed the blog's look with the help of my friend Patricia. The default look was lending a dull and monotonous feel to the artwork. Newly added are the title banner, side banner and logo.

I had designed the title banner in Illustrator. Its a collage of the recent ambigrams i had made in the background with the title (in true blackletter) in foreground.

The side banner was also designed by me. It consists a random array of letterforms in different styles rotated randomly on a background of images related to davinci. The side banner emphasizes that in ambigrams you need to visualize the letterforms in different styles and from various vantage points.

The logo was completely designed by Patricia, my friend. It consists of two As (abbreviation for blog's title) inverted and placed over each other in keeping with reflection/inversion of letters in an ambigram.

I haven't changed much of the remaining template as my knowledge in html is limited.

Creating Ambigram Art

A number of people ask me what goes into making an ambigram. I think you need to have just two things for making good ambigrams - Imagination and Inspiration. Whatever be the word, its ambigram design must fulfill two most potent functions - Inversion and Readability. If it fails any one of these, its not an art, its crap. The ambigram should be designed so that it fulfills these functions...anything else added may only fire back.

I think to be a good artist in this field, you need to visualise letterforms in as many ways as possible - different styles, different forms, from different vantage points (upside down, mirror, 90deg rotation)...and then implement it as beautifully and as elegantly as you can (or as much as the word permits). There is a secret to making ambigrams work - its based on illusion, your mind doesn't need to see the entire letterform to comprehend it, only the basic strokes that define a letter (actually two - letter and its inversion) and distinguish it from others are sufficient.

I have two wonderful references on Ambigram and Graphic Art, which come in handy while desinging the ambigrams. If you would like to venture into ambigrams, calligraphy or general typography, these refereces are essential.

Wordplay - Philosophy, Art and Science of Ambigrams by John Langdon:

I would call this book the ‘Holy Grail’ of ambigrams. If you want to venture into field of ambigrams, this is a must buy. It is a magical composition of art, science and philosophy all of which blend together to produce stunning pieces of ambigram artwork. It is the second edition (published in Nov, 2005), the first edition was published in 1992. John Langdon has been making ambigrams for almost 30 years now. His inspiration is from the arts of Salvador Dali and M.C.Escher. I was astounded by Escher's works in this book. The book draws appreciation not on the basis of mere symmetry, but the philosophical and scientific (both having opposite yet complimentary views, like the yin & yang) explanations behind style and artform of each ambigram. He illustrates how an artwork is created using the implications of its inherent nature and meaning. Towards the end, he also gives a step by step tutorial on ‘How to make Ambigrams’ using an example of word ‘Philosophy’.

The Complete Guide to Calligraphy:

I was looking for a book which can give me more insights into alphabet’s design, more and more fonts, and calligraphic artwork. This book is really helpful in learning to master design of letterforms. It gives a comprehensive analysis of major calligraphic techniques and their uses, with step-by-step instruction for creating beautiful designs. It is replete with calligraphic fonts which look very arty and stylish and contains examples of inspirational work by leading calligraphers. The book also contains a section on advanced calligraphy which includes using illuminated characters, creating flourishing designs, interpreting words as images, and heraldic designs. All in all, this book contains almost everything that you might need for creating a good calligraphic artwork (except maybe the inspiration ;) ).

This ambigram was created by Nagfa for me. Thanks a lot. In the past couple of months, i've made so many ambigrams, but have never been able to make a satisfactory ambigram for my name. And here it is, a gift from Nagfa...so very gorgeous. I think i'll use it as my signature :)

Nagfa's ambigrams are so very cool, and they churn out almost 3-5 every day. I really like their blackletter, gothic and death metal inspired fonts.

I have been incorporating shadows in the ambigrams for some time, since it lends a bit of asymmetry to the ambigrams. A small asymmetry enlivens and energizes the word. The viewer is attracted simultaneously by the placid beauty of the dominant symmetry and the minute asymmetry (just like a tiny mole on a woman's face enhances her beauty a lot otherwise flawless beauty seems an artifical creation...). Absolute symmetry is lifeless.

Me and myself with 2 symmetries

This is me - Roopak. Both mirror and upside down symmetries incorporated. K had to be written in reverse. After having dedicated numerous ambigrams to so many people, i thought i needed one for myself. So here it is - a double ambigram created by me for myself.

Its remarkable that a word can be designed in such a way that it can be read from more than 2 vantage points.

I'd been really busy this week in office...which is why there hasn't been any update.

For a friend - Patricia. It is drawn using traditional Old Blackletter script which is commonly found on churches, newspaper headlines, posters, etc.

Fibonacci Series

This wonderful piece of art is dedicated to the most intriguing series of mathematics, the terms of which when divided by their previous terms lead to quotients which converge into the most beautiful number in mathematics 1.618.

This is neither a wordart, nor a numeric art...its both!
These are neither letters, nor numbers....they're both!

What you see is Fibonacci Series written as Fibonacci Series. Period.

Still don't get it. I have drawn the word 'Fibonacci Series' using first 12 terms of fibonacci series (i.e. 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144...). Hence you can see the letters of the word made from the numbers of the series (in exactly the same order!). Only the number 3 in 34 is written in reverse to make it look like a C.

I think the concept is mindblowing, and again the inspiration is John Langdon, who had drawn the word 'Dan Brown' using the first 10 terms of fibonacci series.

Ambigram through the Looking Glass

This is yet another unique ambigram. What you see is gibberish (and we call that art?):). To read the word's ambigram, you need this 'word'. Before you jump into chicken egg situation, let me tell you the word.

Mirror.

The ambigram and the accompanying text has been drawn using mirrored script (or in reverse) using longhand. I haven't used any software gimmick for this (although its as easy as rotating the image horizontally to produce this result). This is a true scanned copy without any digital alterations. After reading DaVinci Code, i have started writing backwards in longhand.

To read all the contents, you can either take a printout and read it from a mirror, or you can rotate the image horizontally.

Wordplay - Can you read these shapes?

To allow you to participate more in this blog, i'm putting forth a puzzle, using basic shapes of geometry, viz. a rectangle, a circle, a triangle and a heart. Let's see if you can read these shapes or not.

Please don't give any answers in the comments box and spoil the fun (although you can brag abt yourself that you've solved this quiz there). E-mail me all your answers. I will display the answers in this blog next week along with names of those who solved it correctly (if any!).

Clues:
1. Each shape bears a similarity to a particular letter of the alphabet.
2. The shape for a particular letter remains same in all words.
3. There are five words (wow, what a clue!).

Grand Masters of Art and Science

I present before you ambigrams dedicated to the grand masters of art and science - Da Vinci and Newton. These ambigrams (i call them "double ambigrams") possess BOTH upside down symmetry and mirror image symmetry SIMULTANEOUSLY. My previous work of such kind was 'Galileo'. Da Vinci and Newton although belonging to quite opposing fields (art is the antithesis of science) were Grand Masters of a secret societies like Illuminati, Priory of Sion, The Free Masons, etc. Their masterpieces and theories are one of the most stunning and groundbreaking of all times.

To them i pay my homage in the form of these double ambigrams.

Da Vinci

Today is incidently also the birthday of Da Vinci. And this double ambigram is the most humble present i can give him.

Newton

p.s. Incorporating either one of these two symmetries in an ambigram is very easy, but incorporating both at the same time, is definitely not a kid's job and its not as easy as it looks.

Unleash the power of your self (rather than your machine)

This is a different post in sense that there are no ambigrams in this, but the context is same - Art.

I have been experimenting with art for a couple of months now and showcasing it to you in this blog. After seeing many works in this area, i am a bit worried about the artistic skills which people are losing due to playing around with software too much. I know that vector graphics programs such as Adobe Illustrator let you enhance your designs a lot, add textures, shadows et. al. However they lack the essential skills which artists learn while using the traditional drawing methods (pencil/brush and paper) which force more concentration, intuition and introspection to the artwork and help build up the complete artist. As a result, people playing too much with their softwares produce uninspired work on paper.

This view is supported by the recent concern of art university teachers in U.S. that 'students are more comfortable manipulating computer graphics than doodling, drafting and drawing with pen on paper, and this has created a sharp decline in drawing skills in recent years.'

'Computer graphics allow artists to move briskly. By contrast, drawing on paper can be frustrating, forcing concentration, introspection and revision as an idea or vision takes shape. The process hones essential skills and sensitivity and personality that make artwork unique,' instructors say.

All the major artists till now have used brush or pencil or pen to create stunning pieces of work. I feel that if at all the software should be used, it should be only for the purpose for 'refining' the work and not for 'creating' it. All my artwork is hand drawn and scanned for the purpose of uploading it on blog. No refining is done in any sort whatsoever. Another reason I prefer to draw on paper is that i get most of the ideas while relaxing in bed. Using computer graphics is the fast way to sell your designs professionally (since it takes considerably less time manipulating designs on screen than doing it on paper).

After all don't you feel that using a keyboard has degraded your handwriting.

p.s. My bent towards creation of hand crafted artwork is perhaps drawn from my professional responsibility. As an analog design engineer, part of my work lies in building circuit layout designs ground up by hand (instead of writing a code/program for creating the layout, which is usually the path followed in digital domain). I love analog, i feel it has a sense of belonging to the glorious and beautiful past, a past where man achieved marvellous results out of his hands, rather than submitting himself to a machine. This doesn't mean that i hate PC, but i feel it should be used for its computing power rather than assisting your art.

I have been swamped with special requests to an extent i wonder if i should call them 'special' anymore :). Still I found some time to draw ambigrams for two friends who had requested them. I have been too busy with other designs to fulfill the requests of more people. Not to mention, i also have substantial work at office. So all this has to be done in the night.

Akhil

This one is dedicated to Akhil, my junior. A sweet guy, very friendly, he and rahul were our favorite juniors in university. He had been insisting a lot that i make an ambigram of his name. So here it is. Go ahead, put this label on some t-shirt and roam around. This ambigram is purely based on Langdon inspired styling.

Leo

This ambigram was requested by Patricia for her son Leo. If you remember, i had made an ambigram for her also, a while ago. Since Leo is a kid, i tried to give a kiddish look to ambigram. It wasn't as easy as it looks.

Boomerang - What goes around comes around

The idea was sparked off by a close friend Vinay, who has made boomerangs in his aero-modelling club in IIT. The implementation is mine :). If you notice carefully, you will find that 'b' and 'g' have boomerangs in their design. The boomerangs are connected to each other by the message (which is also an ambigram!) that reads 'what goes around comes around'. This design has taken a lot of time to make - 6 hours from conception through drafting to final coloring. An average ambigram takes around 1-2 hours to make.

Life is like a boomerang. What we spread around (whether be hatred or enemity or love or joy), we receive it back in the same measure some day.

Sometimes with a thwack into my heart. Sometimes landing with a crack at my feet. But it always comes back. No doubt about it.'

Galileo

I would call this my masterpiece. It has got a classic appeal of beauty and simplicity. Eveytime i see it, i am left mesmerized. I call it a double ambigram. It has both horizontally bilateral symmetry (mirror image) and rotational symmetry (180 degrees). It draws inspiration from John Langdon's version of Galileo (which is only 180 degree rotationally symmetrical). As you can see the 'ear' and 'loop' of 'g' are made similar and just enough for readability. I have yet to see any other ambigram which incoporates both these symmetries at the same time.

'That's exactly how the search for truth is supposed to work. You see something and then you try everything you can think of to make it go away; you turn it inside out and upside down, and push on it from every possible angle. If its still there, maybe you've got something.'

That Pretty Lady!

This ambigram is a token of thanks to that pretty lady - Anju Grover, from ICICI Prudential Bank for helping me out on a problem (regarding my policy) i was facing for quite some time.

This ambigram is one of the finest efforts by me and is as pretty as the lady herself. I will be giving the original copy to her when i meet her next time.

UPDATE: Well, she turned out to be Anu Grover. I hadn't asked her name last time and just read it off her nameplate. It was quite a funny situation (i was a bit embarassed, she was laughing), but she accepted the ambigram gladly. I will see if i can make Anu Grover.

My favorite book - The Bourne Identity

This ambigram is dedicated the most amazing book i have ever read till now - The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum.

He has no past. And he may not have a future.
He was dragged from the sea, his body riddled with bullets. There are a few clues: a frame of microfilm surgically implanted beneath the skin of his hip; evidence that plastic surgery has altered his face; strange things he says in his delirium, which could be code words. My Car - Swift

This is an ambigram of my car - Swift.

My car is a Suzuki Swift. Winner of numerous ‘Car of the Year’ awards worldwide, this hot hatchback’s styling is inspired from Mini Cooper. A 1.3L frugal and highly refined engine, linear torque curve with max torque of 113Nm (at 4500rpm) and max power of 87bhp (at 6000rpm), top speed of 165kmph, 6 onboard computers, slick gear shift add to the fun and spunk. Wrap around glass housing the upper body of the car, smooth shoulder lines flowing towards the rear end, the wheel arches lifting one’s senses, the car’s styling is something never seen before on Indian roads. The newly developed chassis has a longer wheel base for superior road handling complemented by 185/70 R14 alloys. Other features are automatic climate control system, ABS/EBD, air bags, power windows and electronic power steering. I had bought the VXI version of the car 2 months ago for 4.8lac (on road).

My favorite Movie - The Matrix

This ambigram is dedicated to The Matrix, my all time favorite movie.

I was blown away by this movie, not just because of it’s never seen before special effects, but also by the thought provoking philosophy behind its storyline and the dangerous conclusions it presented if it ever became reality. The movie harps upon differences between reality and perceived reality and raises questions pertaining to your choice and free-will. The basic idea has an uncanny similarity to Alice in Wonderland. The characters derive their names from spiritual deities. This movie is loaded with a vast array of special effects including a very popular slow motion bullet rippling sequence (accomplished by a sound designer whirling around bullets attached to strings in his studio and by graphics designers using computer programs along with still photography). An outstanding project by The Wachowski Brothers, this movie won 4 oscars. I have seen it at least 15 times.

My favorite Gadget - Playstation Portable

The ambigram features the controls on its either side (again part of theme based design). It scores very high in readability (since the word supports it) and is by far my longest ambigram (19 letters).

A stunning 4.3” widescreen LCD with resolution of 480 x 272, game console, video playback (mpeg4), music playback (mp3, atrac3, wma), picture viewer, internet browser, wifi and IR connectivity, upto 2GB memory capacity, stylish and sleek form. What else could you ask for in a gadget? That is Sony’s playstation portable. A number of games are available including Grand Theft Auto. Most of them are playable online. PSP’s graphics power (quality is almost as good as in PS2 games) raises the bar for gadgets. I bought my psp (from my second salary) last year. Currently I have 1GB memory stick and games include Grand Theft Auto- Liberty City Stories and Ridge Racer.

Beatriz Miranda

Well, she didn't request for this, but since she was one of the first people (apart from my friends) to appreciate my artwork, its my gift to her. She also draws ambigrams. Her complicated name seemed quite a challenge. With this accompishment, i have a feel that if you spend enough time thinking, any name can be made into an ambigram. However, if it ain't legible, it is trash.

It wasn't on a request either. I came across her name at orkut community (Wordplay by John Langdon). I have tried to give this ambigram a very different style (although i could have done the normal way also, but that was becoming boring...damn i get bored very quickly!). It draws inspiration from Arabic script with flowing lines. It is one of my most beautiful works of art. Even though the first 2 letters (Pa) aren't very legible (and are blended into each other), you can read the entire word with ease. Here lies the 'magic'.

I am introducing a new idea to creating ambigram artwork in this section. I think its very innovative. It involves creating theme based ambigrams. This means that each ambigram's design is derived from (or is related to) that word's meaning and its implications! Go see them. I will explain them as they come. Should be a treat for eyes!

So here are my favorite games-

Quake III Arena

This ambigram features a big cross-hair in the center. Quake III game is a first person shooter and the crosshair is related to that. The red color gives a hint that the game has lot of blood spilling in it.

No other game beats it. It came out in 1999 and has just one straight objective - Kill. No boring missions, no long stories. What you get is a right blend of wide open air maps, high speed, crazy physics (with gravity defying jumps) and incredible weapons including lethal rail gun, rocket launcher (to get some mind blowing mid air frags), and many others. 60000+ frags till now and am still playing it. Just put on some heavy metal music, start fragging, sharpen your reflexes and have a blast. I have even put up a quake movie featuring my frags. You can download it here.

Far Cry

This game is based on jungle warfare. This is highlighted by green color and the artwork has a nice foliage rendering theme.

One of the most fulfilling (and also the most difficult) single player missions in a first person shooter based on Crytek’s Cry engine. Highly immersive graphics, good storyline with jungle warfare, rich ambient detail. Jungles feature dense foliage. Beaches have blinding-white sand with the surf slowly lapping ashore. Real-time lighting and shading effects are incorporated to a degree rarely seen before, so when you walk in the jungle, you actually see the shadows of overhead leaves flickering on your rifle. And a near miss from an enemy rocket will black out your vision! One of the most stunning games to behold, even better thing to experience. Look out for Crytek's new game Crysis at E3 this summer. It is based on their upgraded CryEngine2 game engine. You can download its trailer from gamespot.

Need for Speed
This is an arcade game. Hence you have a 'racy' ambigram design.

When you talk of arcade games, need for speed comes right at the top. EA’s ever popular racing series is currently into its 8^th (or is it 9^th) edition with Most Wanted. Stunning graphics, real looking cut scenes, highly detailed cities, mind blowing THX quality sound (hear that engine revving up!), wide variety of cars each with their trademark handling and speed, any need for speed game has always been fun to play with. I can pretend to be behind the wheels of cars which I might never get to drive (forget abt owning them).

Prince of Persia

This ambigram features swords on either side. Swords are the main weapon used by Prince in this game.

The Prince of Persia Series (The Sands of Time, The Warrior Within, The Two Thrones) has been known for its tight controls, music ranging from heavy metal with guitar riffs (Godsmack) to enchanting arabian tunes, satisfying environmental puzzles set in beautiful levels, time control featuring speed kill and use of sands, nonlinear and gripping storyline (that rivals the best sci-fi fantasies), awesome acrobatics by the Prince himself, wide variety of weapons including swords and daggers, rich and immersive environments, highly sophisticated yet beautiful level design and one of the best gameplay experiences ever. I still remember that I had finished Warrior Within in 4 days while also attending college! Kudos to the Ubisoft team for a great game that will always be dear to our hearts and fresh in our minds.

This one is a tribute to my all time favorite band - Linkin Park.

Linkin Park are the modern guitar-swinging, lyric-dropping scratch wizards to simultaneously glorify the big riff while bowing down at the altar of hip-hop. A tightly controlled montage of hooks, riffs, dodgy rapping, roaring, sweet singing, noisy scratching, ruthlessly edited into classic songs. This nu-metal progressive rock band combines old school hip-hop, traditional classic rock and spooling of electronic vibes and includes MC/vocalist Mike Shinoda, vocalist Chester Bennington, guitarists Brad Delson, Phoenix, DJ Joe Hahn and drummer Rob Bourdon.

In the course of a single song they let their guitars run amok, push plodding rhythms and growl like angry dogs roused from sleep - all while dexterously zipping back and forth along record grooves. Their discography includes Hybrid Theory (2000), Reanimation (2002), Meteora (2003), Live in Texas (2003) and Collision Course ft. Jay-Z (2005). My favorites are ‘In the End’, ‘With You’, ‘One Step Closer’ and ‘From the Inside’. I am eagerly awaiting their new album release in May, 2006.

Amit Shiwalkar is a smart guy, lives in LA, currently into many divisions of the company simultaneously, an avid photographer, die hard quantum mechanics fan, loves mountain biking, and owns a mazda miata sport. His major project in masters (biomedical engg. from IIT Bombay) had something to do with D.N.A. and electronics!

Poloolop Diamond

Inspired from this, i created Poloolop Diamond (poloolop is name of our group of 8 friends). It has 180 degree rotational symmetry. So the names appear in the same sequence when diamond is turned upside down. It is by far my best creation. It took a couple of days to create, especially since i was working with trace papers and not ms paint.

These were one of my first designs after i was inspired by Angels and Demons.

Our group of 8 (named poloolop by a freaky member) includes-
Roopak Suri - that's me. to know more abt me, go check out my profile :)
Vinay Pydah - nice intelligent, sober guy, always calm, introduced me to gaming, good dancer, lazy yet cheerful, makes a lot of friends.
Sumeet Sinha - a very practical fat guy, smart, always there for suggestions on anything, but a lot of times goes over the top while proving his point.
Prateet Sinha - sumeet's cousin, a true cassanova, he has more girls after him (or rather its vice versa!) than those after remaining 7 of us, good dancer, very thin (maybe anorexic!)
Umang Saini - the craziest person of our group, he spreads insanity around with his weird (though out of the box) ideas, true worshiper of google.
Shabd Vaish - a drummer, good friend, does what he likes (whatever be the situation), cheerful lad and music enthusiast.
Suchit Gupta - gross, his on your face remarks are a pain to handle, makes fun of anything and everything around him.
Yuvraj Singh - nice intelligent guy, a bit low on self confidence, sportsman (was in college football, hockey, cricket team), very friendly.
I wonder what they will think of this, but certainly their girl friends (i wonder if there are any sans few) will be impressed by reading this (actually i was joking, they will ditch them after reading this.............and come to me after seeing the ambigrams....lol!) :)
